Essentially Sei-Bu-Kan practices a style called WADO RYU (trans: The School of the Way of Peace.) This is a major style throughout the world and was brought here in the mid 60's. The Wado ryu style emphasises quick, focused techniques which conform to the principle of maximum effect with minimum effort. Sei-Bu-Kan also incorporates the techniques of AIKI JITSU - a system of locks and throws, and KOBUJUTSU - the use of weapons such as the 6ft staff.
