The Sei-Bu-Kan group has been going since the mid 1970s. The first Karate club was opened in Portsmouth by our Chief Instructor, Sensei Bill Evans. Since that time the group has expanded to include clubs in East London and Cirencester in the West of England. Sei-Bu-Kan now includes Tai-Chi and Kickboxing and Jyu Jutsu, as well as the traditional Karate Clubs. The group has always been very selective about the clubs that join. Each club has to go through stringent examination before being allowed to join Sei-Bu-Kan. As Black belts come through the ranks those with the potential and inclination are guided on to become instructors. This takes further training and a long time assisting and being under the guidance of a senior instructor. Within Sei-Bu-Kan quality is all important.
